More Than Just Shoes: The Stories Behind My New Designs
Share
Many of you may not know this, but my full capsule collection quietly launched late last year.
There wasn’t a huge runway show or dramatic countdown — just me, packing orders from my home studio, updating my Shopify website at night, creating social media posts in between sketching new designs, and personally dropping off shoe boxes at the post office.
As a solo founder, I oversee every single detail of this business. And while that can be overwhelming, it is also deeply fulfilling. There is something incredibly special about watching a woman slip into my shoes for the first time — and seeing her face light up when she realizes she doesn’t have to choose between beauty and comfort.
That moment makes everything worth it.
Since launching the capsule collection, I’ve been quietly working on two new styles — both very different, yet both deeply personal.

The New York Loafer
I’ve never considered myself a “loafer girl.” But walking the streets of New York, I see so many women styling loafers with everything: oversized blazers, vintage denim, long skirts, power suits. There’s an effortless confidence to it.
But I kept thinking… why are they always black or brown?
Where’s the personality? The joy? The conversation starter?
So I decided to create a loafer that feels unmistakably New York — what you see here is a sneak preview to what is to come. Inspired by my love for iconic New York foods — bagels, pizza slices, morning coffee — I am in the process of designing playful, bold, and whimsical food patches to adorn the loafers. Because why shouldn’t you wear your favorite city on your feet?
Why shouldn’t fashion feel a little delicious?
These loafers are my love letter to New York — the city that gave me grit, resilience, and the courage to start this brand. I am so excited to bring this design to life. This pair of loafers feels symbolic — like the start of my own loafer journey and the next evolution of my brand. It marks my entry into an era where comfort and statement style coexist beautifully.

The Gold Mule — A Tribute
The second design comes from a much more tender place.
I first created a version of these gold mules around the time of the COVID pandemic — the same year I lost my father.
Losing him made me realize how fragile life is. How quickly everything can shift. How important it is to fear less and listen to your gut to do more of what I love.
These gold mules feel like a quiet tribute to him. Gold — for warmth, tradition, and memory. A silhouette that feels easy, effortless, and elegant. A shoe that says: walk forward, even when life feels uncertain.
I was blessed to have my father for many years. And while grief never fully disappears, gratitude sits beside it.
Every time I work on this design, I think about courage. About not living small. About choosing boldness over fear.
In many ways, these mules represent that promise to myself.
No matter the design — whether playful New York loafers or sentimental gold mules — I always begin with the same question:
How will this woman feel when she wears them?
Because I design for women who are moving — between meetings, between boroughs, between dreams. Women who want to feel vibrant, confident, and comfortable without compromise.
Style should not hurt.
Comfort should not be boring.
And every pair should carry a story.
I would truly love to hear what you think of these two designs. Are you a loafer girl? Would you wear pizza on your feet? Or does the gold mule speak to you?
Let me know — your feedback shapes what I create next.
