Brand Mission

Hi everyone! I am Yvonne!

I created my own footwear collection because I believe that shoes are more than a footwear brand — it is a celebration of heritage, self-expression, and women’s journeys behind their shoes. 

Growing up in a conservative society in Singapore, I often felt constrained by invisible societal norms, such as modest dress codes that did not allow me to fully express myself. When I was a teenager, a trip to Hong Kong opened my eyes to the world of shoemaking when I visited my friend’s father’s shoe factory in China. The sounds of machines, the smell of leather, and access to the factory’s sample closet sparked my lifelong love for shoes — particularly bold, colorful styles that reflected my rebellious nature and allowed me to express myself when clothing could not.

Years later when I was working in the fashion industry in New York, I felt very uninspired by the footwear that people were wearing on the streets - muted styles constricting shades of black, grey, brown and white that lack personality and color. It was also during this period where I was struggling to find fashionable, versatile and comfortable shoes that I could wear everyday after years of enduring painful heels and plantar fasciitis from over two decades of avid running. I imagined creating shoes for women who, like me, wanted to combine fun, unique and comfortable shoes that express their individuality. 

It was in 2018 when I began learning shoemaking and started designing a collection of vibrant mules, sandals, and stilettos for confident, fearless women who dare to stand out. Sharing my shoe journey along the way, I realized countless women faced the same challenge. Our footwear fills that void, offering bold and vibrant footwear that modern, rebellious, badass women can wear from day to night without compromising on comfort — from boardroom meetings to dinner parties, Sunday brunches, or a beach vacation in Bora Bora. Each pair is not just a shoe - it is a fashion statement, a story about an amazing journey, and a celebration of women stepping confidently into their lives.
